Year after year, the event is a launching pad for new creative content. New media presentations, music showcases and film screenings provide buzz-generating exposure for creators and compelling entertainment for audiences. Conference panel discussions present a forum for learning, business activity thrives at the SXSW Trade Show: The Exhibition for Creative Industries and global networking opportunities abound.
Austin serves as the perfect backdrop for SXSW®, where career development flourishes amid the relaxed atmosphere. Intellectual and creative intermingling among industry leaders continues to spark new ideas and carve the path for the future of each ever-evolving field, long after the events’ conclusion.
When: March 7-16, 2014 (various tracks spanning different dates – see schedule)
Where: Austin, TX
Why: At first glance, SXSW may appear to be a whole bunch of fun and party with not much business, but that perception couldn’t be further from the truth. SXSW is one of the best conferences to attend to give you a glimpse inside of what is new and upcoming especially around the trends in social media & marketing across brands in all industries. This event is huge and spans nearly 2 weeks which gives you an enormous networking & learning opportunity.
I personally suggest the Interactive Expo for most small business owners, but the other Expos also offer unique keynotes and sessions. It’s not too late to get your conference pass, check out the options here.
